1. What type of Power supply does the Gate opener use?

Ideally, make sure you go for a coil based power supply unit. They are more durable and last many years. This is one of the most important things to lookout for because many Gate openers use regular power supply units that will easily fail after a few months of use.

2. Does your Board have Fail-safe?

A lot of clients have called me about machines that are no longer working and that their boards have blown. This happens with boards that do not have any Fail-safe mechanisms like fuses and earthing. Ask your supplier to send proof of this before buying.

3. Warranty cover?

Before paying for any Gate opener, always confirm the type of warranty cover and terms of the warranty to be provided.
